Job overview
The Inclusion Leader role will be approximately 50% non-class based and 50% class-based working with identified groups and/or individuals (including SEN, EAL and G+T).
We are a 2 form entry school in the Hall Green area of Birmingham. We wish to appoint a highly motivated practitioner to lead the development of outstanding SEND provision across our school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner.
- Has an understanding of how children learn and of barriers to learning.
- Is able to support staff in planning for the needs of different groups or individuals.
- Will work closely with children and parents on a range of interventions and strategies to support and challenge children's learning.
- Is committed to working strategically as part of the leadership team.
- Is either working as an Inclusion Leader or who is looking to obtain the role and undertake the National Award for SENCO's.
