The Inclusion Leader Role is non-class based and will involve working with staff and supporting pupils and families. This may include some teaching commitment which will be at the discretion of the head teacher.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a good understanding of how children learn and of removing barriers to learning, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, EAL, behaviour and high levels of deprivation.
  • Will oversee PSHE delivery as an integral part of supporting and developing our pupils.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, inspire, lead and support colleagues.
  • Will lead our strong team of Learning Mentors to provide the best outcomes for pupils and families.
  • Has a commitment to working strategically as part of a team, working collaboratively with the Leadership Team, colleagues, parents and governors.
  • Uses a variety of data sources to identify and plan interventions for children of all abilities.
  • Is either currently working as a SENCO / Inclusion Leader or who is keen to gain a position and complete the National Award for SENCOs.
