Inclusion Manager/SENDCo

Part time (0.6 FTE)

Mainscale (including UPS) + TLR2/SEN allowance (dependent on Sendco experience/or qualifications)

The governors invite applications from experienced SENDCos to join our successful school. Holy Family is a successful one-form entry school. We have children of many cultures and abilities making our school a very happy place to be. You will develop existing good practice and be responsible for co-ordinating provision for special educational needs throughout the school as well as managing a team of Learning and Teaching Assistants. You will ensure school practices reflect the inclusive culture and policies of the school.

The successful applicant will be a member of our middle leadership team and will be supported by our proactive senior leadership team and our team of skilled learning support staff. The school will support accreditation for the new national SENCO qualification, dependent on the candidate’s experience and development needs. This is a part time position (0.6 FTE) and is non-class based but will be supporting class teachers in planning and group work.

We are seeking someone who

• Has current experience of being a SENDCo or other relevant SEN/Behaviour support work experience
• Has a successful track record of improving the quality of provision and raising the attainment of pupils with SEN, including G & T pupils
• Is committed to supporting pupils; providing a quality learning experience for them
• Is sympathetic with our Catholic ethos
• Willingness to work effectively within a team
