Job overview

Hill House School requires a permanent full-time teacher to inspire primary school age pupils. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled teacher within Key Stage 2.

Class teachers deliver an exciting and inspired curriculum working together as part of the team. They are line managed within the department by the Head of Key Stage 2 and responsible to the Deputy Head and Head of the Junior School.

Class teachers teach large parts of the curriculum although the children do receive specialist teaching in some areas such as Games/PE, Science, Drama, Modern Foreign Languages etc. We currently set for mathematics and spelling and would see this role to be suitable for someone who is highly skilled and has great desire to work within the independent sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher and leader who possesses high expectations, a desire to succeed and wants the best for the children in their care.

This post commands an attractive remuneration package which can be discussed at interview.

NQTs are guided through induction under the auspices of the Independent Schools’ Induction Panel, which is fully recognised by The Department of Education.

Hill House is the leading co-educational, independent school in the area, situated on the borders of South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. It is an exciting and expanding school of some 800 children from age 3 to 18, where teachers can teach and children can learn. The school was founded in 1912 and occupies a splendid site between Bawtry and Doncaster.

The school has a stunning site, harmonising the history of an outstanding campus with new, purposely designed 21st century facilities. A recent multi-million pound development project has seen the building of a new Sixth Form Centre, Music School, Sports Grounds and Dining Hall.
