This is a truly exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher to join the team at Marsden Junior School – a newly formed Academy. As a Teacher within the Academy you will be instrumental in inspiring and motivating our students. Embracing both the outstanding culture and ethos of The MFG and Sixth Form Multi-Academy Trust, you will play a key role in helping to drive the Academy forward; raising standards and creating outstanding life chances for educational achievement.

Marsden Junior School became part of The Mirfield Free Grammar and Sixth Form Multi-Academy Trust on April 1st, 2015. It is a feeder school to Colne Valley High School which joined the Trust on 1st September, 2014. The Executive Principal of the Multi - Academy Trust is Mrs Lorraine Barker; an inspirational National Leader of Education. The Mirfield Free Grammar and Sixth Form is a National Support School and as such supported several schools over the past few years.

As an Outstanding Academy, The MFG is sponsoring and supporting Marsden on its journey to ‘Outstanding’. We are looking for a driven, dedicated Teacher who is passionate about students’ learning. The successful candidate will work alongside the Principal and Executive Principal to shape the development of outstanding practice. Our mission statement is “To enable staff and students to achieve their best” and the successful candidate will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goal.

Location is important too of course; all three Academies are located in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, only a few miles apart, and are easily accessible for joint training, work shadowing and meeting opportunities.
