We are recruiting for the following position: A Key stage 2 teacher with literacy specialism
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead and shape our new age 9 to 11 provision.
The Farringdon Centre in Salisbury is a therapeutic independent specialist school for children and young people aged from 9 to 18 who have experienced significant trauma, exhibit challenging, high risk behaviour and social difficulties.
The role: To deliver a creative, broad and balanced curriculum appropriate to the needs of the pupils. To assess and plan literacy interventions across the school. To work with the Head and School Business Manager to promote the department in the local community and nationally.
The person: You will be an experienced teacher with significant personal resilience. A collaborative worker who can share and actively participate in the vision of the school. Knowledgeable in child psychology with a willingness to work therapeutically. You will have up to date literacy practice and an ability to engage reluctant learners.
