Job overview

A primary school in Northumberland require a teaching assistant to work on a 0.5, mornings only basis in their large and inclusive school.

The desired teaching assistant will be working on a one to one basis with a child in a Year 3 class. This child has a variety of Special Educational Needs, including behavioural difficulties and global delay.

The school will be presenting the childs IEP and weekly planning, and it will be for the teaching assistant to work within this framework to ensure that the children makes sufficient progress. You will still be based in the Year 3 class, but there may be an opportunity to work in the afternoons doing more general teaching assistant work.

This role requires someone who is proactive and not perturbed by behavioural difficulties.
