Denbigh is a Good School (Ofsted 2019).

“The Headteacher, leaders and governors have created a positive culture in the school. Pupils are keen to succeed, take pleasure in their learning and make a full contribution to the life of the school” (Ofsted – January 2019)

Denbigh School is an 11-19 comprehensive school in Milton Keynes with around 1800 students. It is part of the Denbigh Alliance – a growing MAT within Milton Keynes.  Our focus is on maximising the achievement of students across all curriculum areas, whilst developing the whole individual. Denbigh School is forward thinking and has an innovative school environment. Denbigh School was designated as a Teaching School in the first cohort, thus putting us at the centre of school improvement, CPD and teacher training locally together with our Alliance Partners. The Engima Maths Hub is based at Denbigh School, one of only 37 Maths Hubs in the country. We have recently become a Computing Hub, one of only 30 in the country. Both Hubs are at the forefront of developing teaching and learning in Maths and Computing. We are also an Ofsted Outstanding SCITT centre training both primary and secondary teachers across Milton Keynes.

We are committed to providing our students with a positive, dynamic and supportive learning environment, which offers them the opportunity to excel. Our ethos is to create a culture of success to extend lifetime opportunities for young people and everything we do fuels this ambition. We foster high aspirations and promote life-long learning, which we hope will stay with our students into adult life.

Our teachers engage, challenge and stretch young minds to create an enjoyment of learning.  There are many opportunities to support the professional development of staff, including an M.A. Programme, an induction programme - offered for new staff/NQTs in particular and CPD, both within and beyond the school day.

By choosing to join the The Denbigh Alliance, you will be joining a team, which works purposefully together to provide an outstanding educational experience. In return, we will provide you with a solid infrastructure of support, care and ongoing professional development, so that you are able to fully develop and enjoy your career and the many rewards that it brings. Our staff are our most valuable asset and we want to ensure that their time at our MAT is a happy and rewarding one.
