Job overview

We are looking to appoint a permanent KS2 Class Teacher, to join our friendly team. We are seeking individuals who are well organised, calm, creative, motivated and passionate about raising standards and inclusivity. Applications from teachers at all stages of their careers, including NQT’s, are warmly welcomed.

Forest Academy is a great place to work! The school is dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting environment where everyone feels valued and safe. Creativity and ideas flourish and children can reach their full potential. We have a dedicated staff and leadership team who are raising standards year on year and taking the school forward.

We deliver a child centred, stimulating, creative and challenging curriculum which engages our pupils. By promoting excellent behaviour, we aim to enthuse in all our children a desire to learn, as well as care and respect for each other. Forest Academy is at the heart of the community. It is a growing three form of entry and recently opened an impressive free flow EYFS unit, complete with a stream and forest in our outdoor area! We are a future thinking school, which places a strong emphasis on integrating innovative technology into our learning.

The Synaptic Trust is a learning community dedicated to preparing children for life in the 21st Century. We create chances for dreamers, idea makers and innovators to connect, thrive and outperform. We empower our children to use their skills as divergent thinkers, responsible role models and leaders to carve out their own futures and become extraordinary citizens.

The Synaptic Trust is led by Stuart Roberts (NLE) who is also the Executive Head Teacher of both West Thornton Primary and Forest Academies. West Thornton Primary Academy, an outstanding school, has recently been designated as a National Teaching School. Forest Academy is at the heart of the teaching school alliance. Teachers working for the trust will have access to first rate CPD and further opportunities for career progression. A job at Forest Academy will open up opportunities across the trust and teaching school.

Forest Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and external agencies to share this commitment. We are an equal opportunities employer. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, medical clearance and a satisfactory reference. CV’s will not be accepted. Photographic identification, evidence of right to work in the UK and certificates of all relevant qualifications will need to be provided at the interview stage.
