We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly-motivated practitioner, who has the passion and ability to lead the new computing curriculum in a large primary school.

Brackenbury Primary School is a successful, vibrant and popular two-form entry school in Hammersmith, near Ravensourt Park. We are a happy, inclusive school, which is firmly committed to raising standards of achievement. The community we serve is culturally and socially diverse, and the school is fully reflective of that diversity. We were graded ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in 2009.

We are looking for people who can support our vision, where we “nurture ambition and develop lifelong learners who have the confidence and skills to be happy and successful in an ever-changing world. Our children learn to respect themselves, each other, and the wider community”.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • an inspirational teacher with a strong record of improving rates of progress and experience of the ICT and computing curriculum;
  • a flexible and adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • committed to the school’s inclusive ethos;
  • accountable for raising standards and providing high-quality teaching;
  • able to implement change, line-manage staff, use data effectively to monitor outcomes, and highlight priorities for development as part of the school self-evaluation cycle.

We can offer:

  • a creative environment which welcomes innovation and new ideas;
  • the opportunity to work alongside an enthusiastic and supportive team of teachers and support staff, motivated and happy children, a dedicated governing body, and friendly parents;
  • a supportive CPD programme, using both internal and external resources.

Brackenbury Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a DBS check and it will be necessary to complete an application form for DBS Enhanced Disclosure.

Closing date for applications is 12.00 on Wednesday 11th March, and interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 23rd March.
