KS2 Teacher

Cranbrook School is a vibrant, forward looking 3 -16 non selective independent school which is seeking to grow and develop to become the ‘first choice’ school for pupils and parents in the local area.

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, highly motivated and creative Year 6 Teacher to join our dedicated KS2 team from September 2015 as a maternity cover for one year.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated team player with a positive 'can do' approach, eager to go the extra mile to achieve the highest standards of learning and to support the development of each individual child. We are looking for a great all-rounder with commitment and dedication to creating an exciting learning environment with an exceptional understanding of how individual children reach their maximum potential. Our small class sizes ensure that we can give our pupils the best education and be rewarded with children who are excited by learning.

In addition you will be able to offer the following:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience of innovative practice, preferably in Year 6, that inspires pupils' learning and enables outstanding progress for each child
• Energy, enthusiasm and commitment to put children's learning and development at the heart of everything they do
• A good working knowledge of the new Primary National Curriculum, AaL and pupil tracking
• A proven ability to develop effective professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents and work as part of a team
• Secure knowledge of how to use ICT to support teaching and learning and how to apply ICT knowledge to all planning, preparation and assessments.
• A willingness to contribute to our programme of extra-curricular activities

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed as are informal discussions with the Head of Prep and the Principal.
