Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic primary school teacher, with specific experience of Year 6 mathematics to help to bridge the gap between primary and secondary school settings. You will be teaching elements of the KS3 mathematics curriculum to groups of KS3 pupils who have knowledge and skills gaps from KS2 and need to build confidence and fluency to allow them to access the full KS3 curriculum. Your excellent knowledge of the KS2 Maths will help to secure rapid progress for our pupils whilst allowing your own mathematics ability to develop through the teaching of the KS3 curriculum.
This is a full-time, permanent, post is from September 2024. We welcome applications from forward-looking colleagues who relish sharing their skills and ideas and who want the chance to make their mark in helping to take the department and the Academy to the next level.

Haberdashers' Abraham Darby is an 11-18 mixed school which opened in 2008, moving into a brand new state of the art building in July 2012. We are a member of the Haberdashers' West Midlands Academies Trust linked with Haberdashers’ Adams and Haberdashers' Castle House school both located in Newport, Shropshire. We are also located in Shropshire, a short distance from the picturesque River Severn and Ironbridge Gorge, not far from Telford and Shrewsbury, with good railway, road and motorway links to both the M6 and M54.
