KS2 Teaching Assistant - Level 2

The Governors of Lliswerry Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and caring KS2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2) on a part-time fixed term contract for a year to commence on September 1st 2015.

The successful candidate will be required to work under the guidance of the class teacher and will need to be flexible, committed to helping each child achieve their potential and sensitive to children's needs.

They will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as genuine commitment to the overall care and development of the children. Experience of working with children with children in KS2 is desirable. The post will be in a KS2 class.

The appointment is offered initially for a fixed term of one year for 17.5 hours per week, mornings only, and for 39 working weeks per year. Annual leave must be taken during school holiday periods.

Candidates will be observed teaching a group of KS2 pupils as part of the interview process w/c 6th July.
