The International School of the Turks and Caicos Islands is a private school, located on the beautiful island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Our small, community orientated school invites applicants for the position of KS3 English and Humanities Teacher.

ISTCI is a private school for children ages 1 - 15 years. We have around 170 children on roll with 13 classes, and around 20 different nationalities represented within our staff and students body. We are an international family that respects differences and celebrates diversity. Our Primary School has operated on Providenciales for over 35 years, with our Middle School opening six years ago. Our facilities include a swimming pool, astro turf field, covered central stage & basketball court and lunch area and lunch programme.

ISTCI is committed to challenging and nurturing our students to grow socially and emotionally, excel academically, and thrive when they leave at the end of grade 9. We aim to instill positive values and a love of learning in every child, whilst ensuring accountability and respect. At ISTCI, we follow an adapted British curriculum that is reflective of the community that we live within. 

For September 2024, ISTCI Middle School is looking for a dedicated, and motivating teacher to join our KS3 teaching team. The role will be split into the following key areas of responsibility:

  • You will be responsible for the teaching of English and Humanities across KS3 to engage and inspire our students.
  • You will act as a form tutor for one of our KS3 classes.

You will need to:

  • be an dedicated, enthusiastic, driven teacher who motivates learners to perform to the best of their abilities;

  • hold QTS and have a minimum of three years’ experience;
  • have excellent communication skills;
  • plan, strategize, set goals and monitor student progress
