Job overview
Perseid School is an outstanding specialist school for communication and interaction for pupils aged 3 – 19 who have severe and profound learning difficulties, including learners with an additional diagnosis of autism. We are located over two campuses following an extensive period of building and refurbishment.
The school offers a well-established and extensive induction programme and the successful candidates will be required, and funded, to undertake a Postgraduate/Advanced Certificate in Special Education, on a distance-learning basis, commencing the September following their start date with us.
The Salary is the school's main pay scale, plus an SEN allowance of £2,021. A full SEN allowance of £4,035 is payable to applicants who hold a relevant advanced or initial qualification in special education.
We welcome equally applicants who are newly qualified or experienced, from mainstream or special school settings.
