Job overview

North Star Community Trust is looking to appoint two inspirational Language Teachers, who are passionate about teaching languages, to children in a primary school setting. The teachers will deliver Spanish lessons across the Trust’s primary schools and provide extra-curricular opportunities.

We are looking to appoint brilliant Language teachers, who can teach Spanish across the primary range. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within our team and support the Arts Team in further enhancing our Spanish curriculum and additional language opportunities within the school.

We understand that speaking a second language can improve memory, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and we want our children to benefit from these amazing skills. As a result, we are growing our Spanish team so that we can provide high quality, fun language provision across our primary schools.

The successful candidates must enjoy working in a multi-cultural school and share the Trust’s vision of making a real difference to the lives of children through equality of opportunity, raising aspirations and fostering a love of learning. The appointed candidates will work in Woodpecker Hall Academy or across Enfield Heights and Kingfisher Hall Academy.

The Trust is committed to your professional development. You will have ongoing support from the senior leadership team and will attend appropriate training and development opportunities. You will be given support, time and space to grow as a teacher and leader.

Working at NSCT Academies brings many additional benefits for our dedicated and valued staff, including:

  • Continued professional development and opportunities across the Trust, including a partnership with Warwick University
  • Health Shield membership (employee assistant programme supporting with wellbeing and offers many attractive discounts)
  • Access to affordable NSCT key worker accommodation
  • Pension scheme

Visits to the school are highly recommended. Please call Woodpecker Hall school office on 020 8804 4126 to make an appointment.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service.

In line with KCSIE updates, an online search will be conducted as part of our due diligence checks on shortlisted candidates.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
