Due to internal promotion, the Governors of this highly successful, over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Mathematics. The successful candidate will be excited by the opportunity to share their love for teaching and learning Mathematics with both students and staff. There is the opportunity to teach A Level Mathematics, A Level Further Mathematics, GCSE Statistics and GCSE Mathematics.

At St Gregory’s we want our students to be the recipients of a world class mathematics education: all students should leave with the knowledge and skills to thrive in modern society, but also see Mathematics as both a useful and beautiful framework through which to appreciate the world. The successful candidate will drive this vision by guiding, supporting and inspiring staff across the department to help them to engage and enthuse learners of all abilities.

Effective safeguarding, data protection and promoting the welfare of pupils is our upmost priority. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to online searches in line with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. References will be sought and the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. A respect for the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.
