About the role:

The Headteacher and Governors of St John's Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to the newly created position of Lead Practitioner.

We are looking for someone who can clearly demonstrate the following:

  • Outstanding teaching.
  • High expectations of both learning and behaviour.
  • Evidence of own impact upon school improvement.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and inspire others.
  • Resilience, commitment and hard work.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be an outstanding practitioner, with a proven track record of inspiring children and raising standards.
  • Have substantial teaching experience, skills and knowledge in the primary phase.
  • Have the knowledge and experience, or ambition, to teach across the key stages.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support and lead other teachers and members of staff.
  • Have the personal drive, ambition and motivation to play your part in raising standards.
  • Have the desire to work with our school partners (both local and regional) to share good practices and support professional development programmes.
