Governors wish to appoint an outstanding Lead Science Specialist to join the staff of Ashdown School (one of four ‘home’ schools on the Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy Campus).

At Ashdown School, we pride ourselves on our excellent relationships between pupils and teachers and our strong ethos of sharing successes and celebrating achievement. We wish to appoint an outstanding Lead Science Specialist who will inspire and enthuse a small team of Science teachers to achieve outstanding results. We require an ambitious, determined and committed individual to ensure our pupils achieve at the very highest levels. The successful applicant will drive standards in teaching and learning, attainment and progression from Year 7-11. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring quality first curriculum provision that will ensure rapid progression, challenge and enjoyment for all pupils. We are looking for an outstanding teacher with enthusiasm, vision and excellent interpersonal skills who is seeking the opportunity to develop their career and lead others.

The Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy campus incorporates nine buildings which include four home schools each serving 450 pupils and students, a Design, Technology and Creative and Performing Arts School, a Sport & Community Education Centre and an Inclusions Hub. Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is delighted be part of the Leigh Academy Trust who with the Stationers’ Company and Ravensbourne will enable the new Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy to enhance our provision and develop a Digital Curriculum fit for the future.
