We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher to assist in management and leadership of Bluecoat Academy’s English faculty.

Bluecoat is part of a growing Multi Academy Trust and this appointment comes at a key time when Bluecoat is fulfilling its ambitions to support a growing number of young people’s learning. This growth together with the opportunity to join an organisation with a large, supportive and talented Senior Leadership Team, will provide excellent development opportunities for the postholder who will support the work of the senior staff with responsibility for English both at Bluecoat Academy and across the Multi Academy Trust.

As Lead Teacher, the successful candidate will be responsible for raising student attainment levels and helping to implement a vision for the faculty’s future.

Applicants should demonstrate clear views on how to promote English across the Academy and propose clear strategies as to how standards can be raised. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective staff teams are paramount in order to provide the best opportunities for students.
