Dorking Nursery School and Children’s Centre are looking to recruit an outstanding teacher to lead our 3-5s maintained nursery.

Dorking Nursery School and Children’s Centre offers high quality integrated education, care and support in our nurseries, groups for children from birth to five, outreach and home visiting services, together with facilities that are available to the local community. We value the whole child and endeavour to work in partnership with families to empower each individual to reach their personal and learning potential.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional, dedicated Lead Teacher who has a clear vision and strong track record. We are seeking an energetic and ambitious candidate who can develop and lead our outstanding team and build on the existing strengths.

We are seeking an experienced candidate who will:

  • Provide inclusive, open and honest leadership
  • Be passionate about young children and families
  • Ensure equality for all with a strong ethos of inclusion
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Employ both sensitivity and drive, and demonstrate the ability to work with children and families from every background
  • Demonstrate experience in leading a team
  • Have the ability to be reflective, resilient and calm under pressure whilst adaptable to the needs of all stakeholders.
