We are seeking to appoint:

A Leader of Inclusion for a unique Federation of Schools. An exciting oportunity for an experienced SENCO and leader. Totally committed to raising standards and achievement for all our children with SEND and for those in vulnerable groups - working as part of a team across both Hob Moor Oaks Special and Hob Moor Community Primary Schools.

Following the promotion of the current postholder to Head of School for Hob Moor Oaks, we are seeking to appoint an experienced SENCO as our Leader of Inclusion. Committed to excellence and raising standards for all our children with SEND and those in vulnerable groups - working as part of a team in our unique inclusive Federation of Hob Moor Oaks and Hob Moor Community Primary Schools. Both schools were judged ‘good’ by Ofsted in December 2013.

The Leader of Inclusion will not have class teaching responsibilities but wil

  • Work with the Principal, Heads of School and Governing Body to determine the strategic development of SEND policy and provision across both schools
  • Work closely with the Principal, Heads of School and colleagues in the promotion of high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progression through effective inclusion for all children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and those included in vulnerable groups across the Federation including Pupil Premium and rising numbers of EAL children
  • Lead the co-ordination of SEND in Hob Moor Primary (SENCo)
  • Be the key point of contact with external agencies, especially the LA and LA support services
  • Be a designated teacher for looked after children
  • Provide line management for the Pastoral Team.
