The successful candidate will become the Leader of the PE team, within a new and innovative educational hub in the heart of Dubai. The Leader of PE and Activities works in conjunction with the Principal to ensure that the curriculum is broad, sequential and relevant, taking account of all learners in their care. The Leader of PE and Activities will place the highest importance on the well-being of all students, ensuring excellent levels of pastoral support and encouragement of every child. 

The Leader of PE will model the values of Citizens School and create a culture where all members of the community learn, thrive and collaborate, ensuring all individuals are empowered and nurtured, as Citizens School becomes known as a centre of excellence.

The facilities are state of the art, with a 6-lane 25m semi-Olympic pool, training pool, full-size floodlit 4G astroturf and an indoor hall with space for 6 badminton courts and 2 adjacent netball courts. You will have the resources needed to teach an in-depth curriculum and add immense value to your profession as well as our learners. Professional Development opportunities will be made available also alongside the staff well-being initiatives run by the school.

The post holder will be expected to match the characteristics described in the professional and pastoral expectations and will be required to exercise their professional skills and judgment to carry out, in a collaborative manner, the professional duties set out in the attached Job Description

Requirements:

Strong academic qualifications in related field;

A recognised teaching qualification;

Preferably at least two years teaching experience in an international setting;

Recent and consistent involvement in cocurricular activities;

Excellent interpersonal communication abilities;

Fluency in English;

Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language;

Proof of suitability for working with children (background check documentation).
