Hours per week: 31

The academy is looking to increase its Learning Assistant team. The teaching and learning support provided by this team is crucial to the success of some of our most vulnerable students. Working under the direction of a classroom teacher you will provide classroom based support to a range of students, including those with Special Educational Needs.

Knowledge or experience of working in an educational setting is desirable, but not essential, and you will also have the skills to work within a small team. You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people in north Halifax, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious and forward-thinking team.

Trinity Academy Halifax is the founding academy of Trinity Multi Academy Trust. It opened in 2010 and since that time has secured two Ofsted 'outstanding' judgements as well as being designated as a National Support School, a National Teaching School (leading the Trinity Institute of Education) and a Maths Hubs of Excellence (leading West Yorkshire Maths Hub).  In 2019 we were awarded the World Class Schools quality mark.

Trinity Academy Halifax is consistently the highest performing school in Calderdale and its GCSE results have placed the school in the top 5% of similar schools nationally.

The academy places staff development and teaching and learning at the heart if all it does. Its innovative and unique CPD programme encourages inspirational teaching and learning and supports all teachers, whatever stage in their career, to develop their craft and progress professionally. Comprehensive pastoral systems are embedded to ensure the behaviour of students is consistently outstanding and they are happy and supported in their learning.
