Learning Assistant

We are seeking an outstanding Learning Assistant to support pupils in the classroom.

You will be instrumental in supporting the Class Teacher to ensure the development and learning of pupils within the class. This position will include working with small groups and on a one-to-one basis.

Whilst training will be given on some aspects of the personal care element of the role, we are looking for an organised and caring person who can engage pupils to inspire a love of learning. To be successful, you should:

• Have a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
• Be well-organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
• Possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parents/carers and outside agencies

Possessing an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education, experience will pupils with additional needs, and the ability to support learning in a primary setting are essential.
