Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio is a 14-19 Studio School based in Darwen, Lancashire. From September 2015, we are adding a third specialist learning pathway of Health, Social and Child Care alongside our existing specialisms of Business and Creative Digital Technologies.
We are a small, mainstream school (300 capacity) for young people of all abilities. Alongside GCSEs, A Levels and BTECs, the Studio offers a professionally-focused curriculum, developing students’ employability skills and engaging them with local businesses. Our approach focuses on Project-Based Learning wherever possible, and ‘real life’ activities.
We are seeking an ambitious, flexible, committed and talented teacher to drive the introduction of the new learning pathway. We need someone with a ’can do’ approach, and a real desire to bring out the best in young people, whatever it takes. The successful candidate will be the only teacher of these subjects within the school at Levels 2 and 3.
