The Barclay School is committed to ensuring that all students believe, achieve and exceed through a positive ethos of support and challenge.  Early intervention helps to increase students’ confidence in their ability to learn; helps to sustain motivation, and encourages them to take a more active role in their learning.

The Barclay School is situated in the Old Town area of Stevenage and has an intake number of 196.  The school has Technology College status which includes Maths and Science.  The school enjoys good relationships with the local community as well as exciting partnerships with local industry and commerce. In particular we are proactive with local technological companies like MBDA, our major sponsor-partner.

Major strengths are the quality of staff-student and staff-staff relationships, our continuing professional development programme, and the support of parents and the governing body.

The Barclay school federated with Almond Hill Junior School on the 1st September to become The Stevenage Inspire Federation as a first step towards a possible all-through school to meet the need for primary expansion.
