Job overview

We are recruiting an additional Learning Mentor to join our expanding new school, providing support to our students in lessons, identifying their strengths and difficulties. The successful candidates will carry out effective intervention, which may be 1:1 or in a small group, planning appropriate personalised interventions as necessary. They will support teachers to enable our students to access learning by supervising and assisting students across a wide range of activities and supported learning activities.


The Learning Mentor will undertake activities with either individuals or groups of students to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development. They will promote the development of the physical and mental health, and well-being of our students and consistently support students whilst responding to their individual needs.

About Us

Maritime Academy, is a brand new secondary school serving the community of Medway, which opened in September 2022. As a growing school we welcomed our new cohort of students in September 2023 and are therefore seeking staff to join us on our ‘Voyage’ as we develop our Academy together. This is an exciting time to join our organisation as we expand our network of schools, building upon our established ethos and values.
