Job overview

Joining us as a Learning Resource Centre Assistant, you will facilitate learning within the LRC, including being the first line help for students and staff in locating and using library, information and learning resources.

Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the LRCs, you will support students and staff with the development of their digital and information literacy skills. Standard duties will include issuing and renewing resources via LMS, shelving returned items, statistical KPI record keeping as well as monitoring and assisting students and staff with the use of IT facilities, computer software packages and electronic resources.

With excellent communication and customer services skills, you will have a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in IT (or be willing to work towards), a good working knowledge of MS Office and be capable of retrieving information within a library. Previous experience of working in a similar environment and facilitating learning for 16-18 year olds is desirable.

This role is Term Time Only plus 1 week.
