Learning Support Assistant

We are looking to recruit a caring, flexible and suitably experienced person to work every day (hours to be advised but a minimum of 8.20am to 12.40pm every day during term time), supporting a child with additional needs in our Nursery. There may also be extra hours covering other staff absences and possibly some afternoons.

The contract will run for the summer term with the possibility of extending for the next academic year. The appointment will depend upon satisfactory CRB, health checks and references.

Experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage.

Icknield Walk First School is situated on a large attractive site on the east of Royston. Royston is a pleasant market town which has good transport links to both Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. It has 353 pupils on roll aged 3 to 9 years. The school has had an outstanding Ofsted Inspection in July 2014. The school has an intake number of 60 and each year group has two parallel classes. The school is well maintained and well resourced with a supportive parent and Governing Body.
