Barton Peveril is a large, thriving and innovative sixth form college in southern Hampshire.

Owing to the retirement of the present post holder, this summer, we are seeking to appoint the above post.

The college is committed to removing barriers to learning and promoting independence. It wants students to be ambitious for themselves and is ambitious on their behalf. The college believes all young people, regardless of a learning difference or disability, deserve the best possible education and future.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational professional to lead the development of this cross College area, providing specialist support, advice and guidance and managing a team of Learning Support Tutors and Assistants offering in class support, one-to-ones and study skill sessions.

Applications are welcome from experienced SEN practitioners in the primary, secondary or FE sector.

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College situated in Eastleigh, Hampshire is one of the largest (over 4,700 students in 2022) and most successful sixth form colleges in the country.

  • OFSTED judged the College Outstanding across all four key judgements: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

80% of second year students move on to Higher Education including to the most selective universities.
