Lecturer in Education (2 posts)

You will have relevant qualifications (normally a PhD or equivalent) in educational sociology or philosophy of education or educational policy, or a related discipline, and will have academic experience at postdoctoral level including established contributions to teaching and research.

You will take responsibility for developing, teaching and leading both undergraduate and post-graduate programmes and courses including those in Initial Teacher Education and will contribute to the wider work of the School.

Based within the Institute of Education, Community and Society, you will enhance the research portfolio of the Institute through research-led teaching, undertaking research in an area in line with School research themes for REF2020 and by supervising research students. You will make a significant contribution to the research profile of the Institute by securing research grants and by publishing and disseminating high quality research outputs, and will contribute to the knowledge exchange and impact profile of the School.

A track record of publications in peer-reviewed, high quality journals is essential. An interest in technology or experience of developing digital environments for learning would be an advantage.
