Are you qualified and have trade experience in electrical installations? Do you have a passion to teach and share your knowledge and expertise with students?

We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer in Electrical Installations to teach and assess on a range of electrical installation courses from Level 1 to 4 (HND) to motivate and inspire our learners to achieve their goals.

You should hold at least a level 3 qualification related to Electrical Installations, have significant industry experience and ideally possess a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards it.

You will contribute effectively to the successful learning experiences of the students in the College through effective teaching that meets or exceeds College standards and results in high levels of student retention and achievement. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and learner centric professional who can demonstrate a commitment to meeting the Professional Teaching Standards in support of the learner journey.

New College Stamford is a further education college based in Lincolnshire. It is a college on the move with high expectations and high standards.  In February 2017 New College Stamford was rated GOOD by Ofsted and is now aiming for excellence. 

The college offers education and training to over 2,000 students every year and provides a wide range of courses, including A Levels, vocational, part-time adult courses, apprenticeships, higher education, and professional training for businesses.  Our students are well behaved and feel safe in College and attendance and retention rates are high.  It is a positive place to study and work.

Principal

Janet Meenaghan who joined the college in September 2015, has successfully promoted an ambitious vision for the college that focuses very clearly on high expectations of both learners and staff. Through frequent staff meetings, she and her senior managers have communicated well what is working effectively and what is not. They support and encourage staff to take responsibility for improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment within their subject areas. As a result, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and outcomes for learners have improved and are good.
