We are a thriving and vibrant Further Education College with an excellent local reputation and strong financial management.  Major campus redevelopment in recent years has improved practical teaching areas and student social and study areas and we are justly proud of the resulting high quality learning and work environments, including a state of the art Construction Centre, excellent sports facilities and modern, high spec hair and beauty salons. There are many opportunities for continuing personal and professional development, including a comprehensive Teacher Education programme in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire.   Our onsite Treetops Nursery is graded “outstanding” by Ofsted.  This is just one from a range of highly valued employee benefits, which also include generous leave entitlement (35 days for lecturers and 26 days per annum for support staff, in addition to bank holidays and several College closure days); various family friendly policies and a supportive on-site Occupational Health and Physiotherapy service.  The College operates two defined benefit pension schemes: the Local Government Pension Scheme for support staff and the Teachers’ Pension Scheme for teaching staff.
