We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Politics and History to join an outstanding Humanities and Languages Section. You will have a relevant degree and a desire to help students engage with challenging ideas, theories and sources covering UK and USA Political structures and systems and a broad range of historical events, including the English Civil War, the French Revolution and modern USA history. The ability to inspire and enthuse students to achieve outstanding results by means of highly effective and stimulating teaching is a priority and, while experience of working either within FE or the post 16 sector is desirable this post would suit either a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner of Politics or History.

Bridgwater and Taunton College, established in 1973, is a mixed further education institution for post-16 students. The college is located in Somerset and currently has almost 3,500 full-time students in the 16-18 age bracket, as well as 700 students enrolled in higher education programmes.
