The Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology wishes to appoint a lecturer to contribute to its teaching and research activity. You will join a team that develops and delivers our teaching materials in Mathematics Education. We offer an Honours degree in Mathematics and its Learning, aimed at the significant number of Open University mathematics students who have expressed an interest in teaching, and a Graduate Diploma in Mathematics Education.

Teaching at The Open University is a team-based collaborative process, which allows unparalleled support for the training and induction of new staff into the teaching process.

You will be able to build on relevant experience in the UK school sector and to contribute to the scholarship agenda of the Department.

You will hold a good honours degree in mathematics or a closely related subject with a strong mathematical component. You will also have a Master’s degree or higher in mathematics or mathematics education with experience of supporting teachers of mathematics.

You will have extensive teaching experience in UK schools or colleges, good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
