An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a specialist lecturer to teach Maths in a growing and dynamic team delivering English and maths to full time learners, apprentices and adults.

The successful candidates will be actively involved in the delivery and assessment of Functional maths and GCSE maths, and will be expected to contribute to the development and on-going improvement of maths in the College. The role may involve delivering Maths to groups of full time vocational learners, apprentices, as well as adult groups on site or in the workplace or community.

Successful candidates will be expected to develop the skills and knowledge of our learners to their full potential, and in close liaison with the curriculum teams, provide excellent assessment opportunities for learners. Applicants will need to be enthusiastic and committed teachers with strong communication skills.

Applicants should have skills and recent experience in teaching Maths, but also the potential to inspire and motivate learners to succeed. The ability to teach Functional ICT would be an advantage.

A relevant degree and teaching qualification are essential, as is a strong track record for delivering high quality Functional maths/ GCSE maths or other nationally recognised maths qualifications.

Cambridge Regional College is a co-educational further education college located in Cambridge. Providing places to students aged 14 and over, the college has several thousand learners young and old, full and part-time. Cambridge Regional College has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, and as such can boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, with the most recent major development, which opened in 2011, providing the college with a brand new Low Carbon Centre.
