Context

We are looking to appoint a talented and visionary Illustrator or Artist to teach primarily on the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design programme as well as to make contributions to the BA (Hons) Illustration programme. The postholder will join and further support the ambitions of both the Communication Design and Foundation teams and continue the high quality provision that the Graphic Design and Illustration subject areas have been recognised for to date.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and ambitious team and to contribute to the evolution of a new generation of Illustrators, Graphic Designers and Art Directors in Russia, whilst also preparing graduates for international platforms.

The Foundation programme follows a UK Level 3/4 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design specification and currently has pathways in Fine Art, Fashion, 3D Design, Communication Design and Photography. It is taught in English with the atmosphere and level of work produced by students comparable to UK Level 3/4 Foundation programmes. The primary objective of the course is to prepare students for progression onto one of our seven BA (Hons) Degree programmes, all of which are accredited by our partner institution The University of Hertfordshire. Currently there are in the region of 200 FT &PT students on Foundation, with around 65 specialising in Communication Design and progressing to either BA (Hons) Graphic Design or BA (Hons) Illustration.

This is a unique opportunity to join and contribute to a dynamic school of Art and Design based in the centre of Moscow that has become a leading institution for Art & Design education in Russia over the last 12 years.

Although all appropriate applications are welcome, we are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have taught on leading UK BA (Hons) Illustration / Foundation Art & Design programmes.
