(£25,855 - £26,754 FTE)
Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks
Monday: 08:45 to 15:45 (13 Mondays will have a 16:30 finish for CPD)
Tuesday: 08:45 to 16:15
Wednesday: 08:45 to 15:45
Thursday: 08:45 to 15:45
Friday: 08:45 to 15:15
We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as a Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant. This key role will support the teaching of students at The LINK in Swavesey Village College.
The Opportunity
- A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team at a new Area Special Provision with fantastic SEND resources
- Provide Support to Students to access learning and encourage interaction and independence
- Work closely with the Class Teacher and Class Team to support the inclusion of children
The Ideal Candidate
- Have a good educational background
- Be confident in supporting children with a range of learning needs and/or challenging behaviours
- Have experience in working with children across all key stages, using initiative and providing evidence of successful outcomes
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to make and sustain positive relationships with staff and children
- Be a team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude
- Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity

Due to expansion and growth of the school we have an exciting opportunity for new Teaching Assistants to join our fantastic SEND team.
Opening Easter 2024, The LINK is situated within the grounds of Swavesey Village College (SVC). The provision will be delivered by an experienced educational team of professionals from Martin Bacon Academy (MBA), a special school, based at the site of the Northstowe Learning Community. This journey will provide opportunities to build on the strengths and experiences in collaboration with other schools in the trust but especially SVC, with whom The LINK will share a school site.
The LINK will offer 8 places in each year groups (7 to 11). Pupils attending will be able to have access to mainstream education for 40% or more of their learning opportunities and will have significant support to ensure that this is successful. They will be able to select option subjects alongside their mainstream peers and will be fully supported by specialist trained staff who are employed by MBA. Any additional Specialist provision, for example Hydro Therapy or Rebound Therapy, will be delivered at MBA.
