Job overview

Vision for Education requires an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a client school in the South Tyneside area. The primary school is looking for someone who is qualified to a minimum of Level 3 status, or equivalent, who can join their supportive and vibrant team. Recent experience of working within a primary school setting, from Early Years to Year 6, would be required. This is a full time position beginning in September.

The role will be to provide general support, PPA cover and intervention teaching throughout the school. The required TA will be flexible, adaptable and be able to build strong working relationships with children and staff alike. A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum will be required as well as being able to deliver full class teaching.

The primary school would like to receive applications from people who are motivated, organised, and have a real passion for providing excellent learning opportunities. Applicants must have good communication skills and work well within a team.

Experience of working with children from a range of social backgrounds and ability levels would be beneficial as well as experience of working with children with various types of SEN. Evidence of CPD and additional training would also be highly desirable.
