This is an exciting and challenging role within our school and the successful applicant will have patience, a sense of humour and an ability to relate positively to young people, providing smooth and efficient day-to-day running, development and evaluation of an effective learning resource and information service which supports the learning needs of pupils and the needs of the wider school community
You will be expected to organise, oversee and facilitate the use and maintenance of the library, ensuring its effective use by classes, groups and individuals and select, acquire and organise library resources and ICT to support teaching and learning covering the full range and ability of the school. The successful candidate will be required to encourage purposeful use of the library for study, leisure and pleasure and assist in the delivery of literacy intervention strategies. Experience of working in a library environment would be an advantage, and a good level of literacy, numeracy and ICT and an understanding of safeguarding are essential.
We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with outstanding facilities, a state-of-the-art learning environment; we are extremely popular and oversubscribed. The school is within easy reach of Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield and the surrounding district.

About Titus Salt
Titus Salt School is a mixed non-denominational community school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Baildon, West Yorkshire, and was formerly known as Salt Grammar School.
The school was founded in 1896 by the politician and philanthropist Sir Titus Salt, and has about 1,500 pupils. It was originally on a different site, and used to be segregated into male and female divisions. It moved to a new building, constructed under the Building Schools for the Future programme, in 2008.
