Moor House & College is a specialist learning environment for children and young people aged 7 to 19 with significant speech, language and communication needs, providing a mainstream curriculum modified to suit the needs of our students.

The school is very well respected in the community, and was recently judged by Ofsted to be outstanding in all areas.

As a result of expansion we have the above vacancy for September 2015 for a teacher with excellent communication skills.

Specialist knowledge of SLCN is not essential as induction and training are provided. Candidates from mainstream primary, middle, secondary as well as special schools are encouraged to apply.

You will

  • Be an enthusiastic practitioner with a commitment to helping our students develop their skills and achieve their potential;
  • Be able to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team alongside therapy and residential care staff.

We will

  • Support you to develop your skills to work with young people with speech, language and communication needs;
  • Provide an excellent place to work, alongside other dedicated staff and with some brilliant young people.
