About Broom Barns JMI School
Set in generous grounds Broom Barns school offers a wonderful opportunity for any new Headteacher.
As the first of the New Town primary schools the building in which the school is housed has been extensively modernised and now has good windows, an effective new heating system and a new highly insulated roof. This means that there is ample scoop within the budget for new initiatives to further the advancement of the school objective to move quickly to outstanding.
The school is single class entry, educating a little over 200 pupils, and is at its full teaching capacity. Although sited in the most educationally deprived area of the county, and with a significant proportion of SEND pupils, the school attracts children from a wide variety of homes and will provide a rewarding challenge for the right person. The school is justifiably proud of its record of ensuring a good level of progress for every pupil and with a dedicated and committed staff a new Headteacher can be assured of maximum support in furthering this aim.
Stevenage is a mixed town having a variety of homes for sale or rent. Set in North Hertfordshire it offers easy access to the countryside but with the London train terminus less than half an hour away and being served by the A1M commuting remains possible.
