Job overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Lunchtime Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our pupils during lunchtime hours. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the school community and contribute to the overall positive experience of our children.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during lunchtime hours, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful and inclusive environment among pupils.
  • Assist with the implementation of lunchtime routines and procedures.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness (including moving of tables and chairs) and adherence to school policies.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies that may arise during lunchtime.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.


The role is Monday to Friday from 11.45am until 1.45pm (Term Time only - 36 weeks)

PACKAGE INCLUDES

• £11.50 per hour / Annual Salary including holiday pay = £4784 (paid pro-rata over 12 months)

• Professional development, including Food Hygiene, First Aid and Safeguarding Courses

Newbridge Preparatory School is a leading independent day school for children aged 2 to 11. Newbridge Preparatory School has been an independent day school in Wolverhampton since 1937. Newbridge Preparatory School moved to its present site in Newbridge Crescent in 1949. The school was originally founded by an eminent local surgeon and initially operated as a member of the Parents’ National Education Union. Many former pupils affectionately remember the P.N.E.U School.
