Job overview
We are looking for dynamic and inspiring Art and Design teacher to join our thriving and highly successful creative industries department.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching level 3 students and have a strong focus on student learning and development. You will have experience of teaching 3D Design and be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill of 3D Design practice and materials based in both the classroom and workshop.
Skill Specification: be proficient using Adobe suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, CAD, laser cutting, 3D printing and associated software. Have a broad and deep knowledge of the 3D making disciplines in a variety of material specialism. You will need to be competent in the use of ILT to enhance learning both in and out of classes and have a strong understanding of the importance of integrating employability skills together with English and maths.
We require someone with excellent teamwork and communication skills to ensure the duties associated with this post are met in full. The successful candidate will have a BA (Hons) in a 3D Design specialism and a UK recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DTLLS or Cert ED or be working towards. Previous teaching experience and industry experience are essential
