Ruskin Education is a UAE based education consultancy supporting schools and Early Years educators in improving provision and quality. We are currently recruiting for a new and innovative Early Years Development Centre for children from 2-6 years. The new Centre will combine the EYFS with a strong enrichment programme utilizing the best of brain research on how young children learn. The Centre is a premium facility promoting a lifestyle choice for parents keen to work in partnership with the Centre to get the best possible rounded education for children keen to explore a wide range of stimulating and enrichment activities and programmes to develop their creative, physical and intellectual skills and knowledge. We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and creative early years educator to manage the Centre and to help develop the concept and build a strong reputation for high quality and partnership. The successful candidate will have a strong vision for quality but with the enthusiasm to build a new concept, based on proven research into developing young children’s intelligence and embedding creativity, physical and social development and confidence across all areas of learning. Position(s) Supervised All staff

Job Scope 
Provide strategic direction and supervision for the Early Years Development Centre, managing the education and care on a daily basis and promoting the work of the Centre with parents and the community, thereby building a well-deserved reputation for high quality teaching and learning and for high levels of engagement with children and their parents and carers to develop confident, discerning and motivated children able to show real curiosity in learning an d exploring their enquiring minds.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible of running the Centre’s daily affairs
  • Implementing the strategy and curriculum approach
  • Selection of teaching and support staff
  • Managing the performance management of the team
  • Provide overall strategic leadership and, with others, lead, develop and support the strategic direction, vision, values and priorities of the school. Develop, implement and evaluate the school’s policies, practices and procedures. 
  • Promote the safety and well-being of students and staff. Ensure good order and discipline amongst students and staff.
  • Manage the strategy and leadership of the early years curriculum, assessment and approach
  • Manage and lead on standards, care and pedagogy in the Early Years
  • PerLead on parental involvement and communications
  • Manage the distributed leadership in the Early Years team
  • Lead self evaluation and school improvement in the Early Years
  • Lead on admissions and identifying support for students on entry

Key Relationships

  • Internal Members of the team children and staff
  • External Parents and regulators and outside support agencies

Position Requirements

  • Education Bachelor degree or equivalent Early Years qualification
  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent Early Years qualification

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • Excellent knowledge of how young children learn
  • Exceptional relationships and communication skills
  • Good management skills 

Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in working in successful early years settings
  • Senior manager experience in Early Years settings

Competencies 

  • Well organized
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Flexibility and creative thinking
  • Excellent range of teaching pedagogies

Additional Requirements

  • Any additional language a plus

Salary & Benefits 

  • The salary and benefits package is sound and will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate and is in-line with UAE Labour Law.

Contract 

  • 2 year contract with the option for renewal
