Richard Huish College has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset.

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who can support us with the coordination of events, creating content for our social media platforms and keeping our website up to date. The ideal candidate will be confident in interacting with students and staff, have experience in adapting their language to suit different audiences and media with excellent grammar and attention to detail. They should also have the ability to become familiar with the campus and the set-up of events, be able to adapt to new situations, use their initiative and problem-solve

It would be advantageous to have experience in any of the following:

·        Education

·        Events

·        Wordpress websites

·        Social Media and content creation

·        Photography/Filming

·        Editing video content

·        Indesign/Canva

This role could be ideally suited to a graduate, someone looking to gain marketing experience or someone looking for part time hours to fit around other commitments.   • Salary: SP7-10 £23,585-£25,276 FTE depending on experience
  • Actual salary: £14,342-£15,370 FTE depending on experience
  • Contract: All year round, fixed term – 1 year
  • Hours: 22.5hrs per week, could be across 3 day or week, can be discussed at interview
  • Start Date: ASAP or depending on notice period
  • Closing date: 9.00am on the 15th April 2024
  • Interview Date: 29th April 2024

Richard Huish College is a Sixth Form College situated in Taunton, the County town of Somerset. Huish prides itself on its academic excellence and strong reputation across Somerset and the Southwest, it is more than a Sixth Form College, it is a place where students can expand their horizons and develop their futures.
