Maths- Head of Department

ACS Egham are looking for a Head of Department for Maths to join our dynamic team who are focused on inspiring the world’s future thinkers and doers. Our vision is that our caring, confident and effective learners are ready to change the world.

Essential requirements:

• A leader who can inspire and motive the team to go beyond and push boundaries in the name of improving education.
• A leader who recognises the importance of holistic education and understand the collaborative approach needed the international baccalaureate programmes.
• A strong sense of teamwork.

Ideal requirements:

• Experience of teaching IBDP Maths AA or higher-level maths courses in secondary schools including post 16 education.
• Experience with MYP Maths would also be preferred or a background / experience in inquiry based learning with authentic assessment.
• Ability to add value to our learning programme through Co-Curricular activities: The ACS Egham CCA programme has 5 focus areas: Athletics, Performing Arts, STEM (Destination Imagination), Leadership and development (Duke of Edinburgh) and Internationalism and debating (Model United Nations – MUN).
• Enrichment Programme– Trip leaders / willing trip volunteers, organising service-learning opportunities and leadership training.
