Job overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on an essential leadership role in a thriving, diverse, larger than average primary school in the heart of Wellington, Telford. We are looking to appoint a dynamic, creative, and inspiring leader to join our talented Senior Leadership Team, to lead Mathematics across the school. We are part of the Learning Community Trust, a locally established trust that focuses on a child-centred approach to learning.

With a track record of delivering exceptional standards, the successful candidate will be highly organised, an excellent communicator and able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of daily demands. Adding to our forward-thinking Maths curriculum, inspiring, and driving ambition for the school and its pupils, this post would suit a current subject leader with ambitions for senior leadership.

We are proud of our high academic standards and our innovative approach to the development of teaching and learning across the school and we value the range of opportunities we provide for our pupils. We are an inclusive school with a strong pastoral system which puts our pupil’s welfare and sense of belonging at the forefront.

In return we can offer:

  • A highly diverse and inclusive school community
  • Access to extensive professional development
  • Well-resourced facilities
  • Outstanding staff: professional, supportive, inclusive & committed
  • A curriculum that is rich, diverse and creative to ensure that our children are prepared for their next stage of learning
  • Free onsite parking
  • Collaboration with primary and secondary colleagues with LCT
  • Commitment to reduce workload

The Learning Community Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and young people. All post holders are subject to an enhanced DBS check (including a check on the children’s barred list) and an online search for the successful applicant.

References will  be checked following the Learning Community Trust recruitment and selection process.

In line with the Statutory Guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education an online check will be undertaken for all shortlisted candidates prior to the interview.
