Reporting to: Head Teacher

Cruckton Hall Limited are looking for a Maths Teacher to join our already established School, located in Shrewsbury Shropshire. You will be required to work as a teacher in the school, undertaking the necessary roles that this entails, ensuring a high standard of lesson planning, delivery of lessons, marking of work and behaviour management of the pupils with SEN and autism. It will be expected that you support less experienced or unqualified staff to reach the same high standards for which you strive for whilst you will also participate in the completion and monitoring of all student assessments throughout the school, and monitor and record such progress.

You will be required to teach some Maths at KS3 and KS4 as well as to offer 1:1 and small group intervention.

Situated in a beautiful rural location within 4 miles of the large town of Shrewsbury, Cruckton Hall Independent school has, since 1981, become a leading resource in the UK for boys with Asperger’s Syndrome, ADD and ADHD.

Cruckton Hall School provides a long established and successful option for boys with a range of difficulties within the Autistic Spectrum of Disorders. The school specialises in integrating young people with Asperger’s syndrome, associated vulnerability and/or challenging behaviour into community life. With the support of the school’s parent company, Kisimul Group Limited, Cruckton Hall has continued to respond to a variety of presented needs and now boasts residential provision as a children's home registered for young people who require up to 52 week placements. Cruckton can continue to provide support throughout school, in Further Education and into adult life.

Cruckton Hall offers a wide range of educational options to its students. The majority of pupils present for public examination for GCSE and/or Entry level, and some may continue to further their education in our off site accommodation in Shrewsbury whilst attending local college. Other young people may require a more vocational focus to their course of study.
